Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

We can simply disable those two SSDTs without actually removing them. However, they don't take effect in Windows, but only in macOS. So Windows should still work properly with Thunderbolt.
Thanks Casey.

Hi @CaseySJ

I managed to disable the Thunderbolt card as you said and updated successfully to OpenCore 0.8.5 and Ventura 13.0. Everything is working fine - sleep, wake, audio, graphics etc but my Ethernet is no longer working. I have the X570S Aero G which has the Intel i225 2.5Gbps Ethernet controller. I read your mini guide on how to get it working in Ventura by enabling Apple VTD but do you know where I can get the SSDT-DMAR from? Do I need a custom one for my particular system or is it just a generic SSDT?

Thanks.

Hey, @BillyBoy7. I have the same board as you have, but I can't get the installer to get thru. Would you mind sharing your efi folder without your serials? I don't know whats going on. I have OC 0.8.5. Did you do an update or a full install? I'm tryign to do a upgrade.

Hi!

Yes I upgraded from my Monterey 12.6 install through Software Update. Its all working fine, just the Ethernet as mentioned above. I will share my EFI with you tomorrow.

You will need to replace the kernel patches as those are for my Ryzen 9 5950X (unless you have the same CPU) and also disable the slot 2 GPU SSDT as I use two graphics cards. I also use OpenCanopy boot picker as I dual boot with Windows.

@mrfatcatt

Here is my EFI based on OpenCore 0.8.5 as promised. I have removed my serials as well as some specific SSDT's that you won't require. Also, please note that I haven't included a USB Map kext as mine will be different since I have my case USB ports mapped as well. So remember to import yours into this EFI.

Also, please note that the onboard Intel i225 Ethernet ports won't work as I am currently waiting for some clarification from @CaseySJ about how to reactivate it correctly for Ventura. Once we get the correct advice then just follow what Casey says and it should hopefully work fine then.

Hope it helps! :)

cool ill be able to test in a few days..by any change to run any avb audio or a 10g card? does it work?

I was curious to see if i can run avid carbon via avb or it may still require vtd which is intel only..i had to skip over montery but my audio rig works in big sur.

No unfortunately I do not have any kind of devices like that to test sorry.

I managed to fix the i225 Ethernet controller on Ventura.

I just added the AppleIntelI210Ethernet.kext to my Kext directory in the EFI and under config.plist and kept the boot-arg e1000=0. I didn't comment out my Intel i225 Ethernet controller in Device Properties or enable AppleVTD or use SSDT-DMAR.

It appears to be working fine now and it shows up under System Report correctly with the maximum link speed listed as 2.5Gb/s.

I also successfully updated to OpenCore 0.8.6 and the latest kexts for AppleALC and RestrictEvents. Will keep an eye over the next few days to see if sleep is working and if I have any kernel panics.
