Hey @frontgear!! As we worked together a few years ago on getting our exact same Motherboard to work with Clover .. I was hoping you could help Me to get OpenCore running?

Any chance of posting a Ventura EFI on that thread we worked on years ago?

Gigabyte GA-Z270XP-SLI, i7-7700K, Samsung 960 PRO

BTW - I just ordered a WD_BLACK 1TB SN850 NVMe to replace the 960 Pro as I read that had problems with the latest MacOS versions that could cause many issues over time?
Here you go, with OpenCore 0.8.5 and latest kexts that you will need for your Gigabyte Z270XP-SLI motherboard. Serials have been removed so use your own system values.

If you want to enable DRM (AppleTV+ and FairPlay), make sure you set Internal Graphics to ENABLED (in BIOS), and run this command in Terminal:

defaults write com.apple.AppleGVA gvaForceAMDKE -boolean yes

Someone said Facetime would be broken once that command is run but I have tested both and Facetime is still working fine on mine. I am now using a WD Black SN750 NVMe due to problem with Samsung NVMe's.

Try it out and let me know if everything works for you.

Hi, could you give me your efi folder for Gigabyte Z490 Vision G / i5-10600K / Asus ROG-Matrix RX6600 XT
See attached. I removed serial numbers but otherwise it's what I'm using.

Smooth update for me first updated to 12.6.1 then went to Ventura.

I'm on OC 0.8.5

OCAT has made updating OC very easy.

Yep - updated fine here too....once I'd updated my kexts, that is!

OC 0.85, running a Ryzentosh.

Wow! Thank you so Much for taking the time!! I may not be able to deal with it for almost a week but .. I Can't Wait!!

BTW - my SN850 arrives today. The reason I purchased the 850 rather than the 750 was easier availability and this post by @trs96 (Moderator) on 5/18/22

I took that to be an official glowing endorsement .. but wonder why it's Not on the TonyMacx86 Buyer's guide?

Ventura installed just fine on the HP 450 G7 (already using OpenCore 0.8.5) but would not install correctly on the Aorus Z490 Elite using OC 0.8.2 (continuous reboot loop). Installation went fine after updating the Z490 to OC 0.8.5.
I have the same problem with my z490 aorus elite ac, keep looping after the first restart. Have u found a solution yet?
Can anyone help with this issue?

Hi,

I've done a clean Ventura install with OC 0.8.5, and updated my kexts etc. The install is fine, and all my h/w works on my Gigabyte Z370N and RT580. It seems to be completely stable until I log into iCloud. It goes through the login process, asks me for my local admin password, and then the OS completely crashes. If I reboot and login again, it will be ok for a few seconds and then just crash again. I've tried running GenSMBios again to re-create things. Has anyone else seen this, or know how to fix it please?

The only thing I've done that's not "normal", is I needed to change the Mac model. I've been using iMac19,1 (Coffee Lake CPU) for ages, but my new Dell monitor's DDM software will not work on an iMac. So I changed it to be MacPro7,1. This was working fine for over a month on Monterey.

What do think about performing an NVRAM reset?
