my HP 840G3 (i7-6600U, Device ID: 0x1916) laptop is working fine on Monterey 12.3 as MacBookPro13,1.
In preparation of the coming Ventura Public Release, I genSMBIOS it to MacBookPo14,1.
Since WEG v1.6.0 and above can spoof SKL to KBL from HD520 to HD620
then I have updated all kexts to the latest.
It can boot into Monterey after iGPU doing retries 50 times and the dock is not transparent.
Youtube can be played. But there is some performance lag on the UI.
Attached are the DeviceProperties and NVRAM from config.plist

I am new to frame buffer patching. Can someone please help me figure out how to spoof HD520 to HD620?

I have moved your post to laptop support

you may need to add in the boot argument to test with Monterey:
-igfxsklaskbl

Thanks for moving my post to Laptop support.

Thanks also for this boot args -igfxsklaskbl
It eliminates the annoying iGPU doing retries #50 :banghead:
I am one step closer to getting my laptop ready for Ventura install.

thought i would do the same on my Skylake laptop as well this morning :)

don't forget to remove the boot argument after installation

your profile says you already have intel HD620, no need to fake anything....
I asked him for that EFI card to compare it with mine, since I can not solve the problem of the hd 620 graphics card memory that indicates 4 Mb and must be 2048 Mb. It must be that we have to wait for an update from watevergreen and Lilu kext.
Anyway, thank you
