Stork's Thunderball II Build: ASUS ProArt Z490 Creator (Thunderbolt 3) - i5-10400 - RX 580

For the AQC I don't need to explicitly enter an OemTableID because there aren't multiple tables with the same name that differ in OemTableID. On top of that I've been testing it for two weeks and it works perfectly.

Regarding the I225-V, I'm not willing to share my EFI but I am interested to know how you would fix it as nothing works since Monterey. I've tried the old device-id method, dk.e1000=0, and a few other methods but nothing worked. I don't need I225 since the AQC works perfectly now but I am curious how you would fix it.

You're right with OemTableID. I meant TableSignature, and I was a little confused because I'm just using a plist-editor, where it looks different. Wihout your EFI, I'm out here. Good luck with the i225-v.

For the I225-V, please try the procedure described here:

In some cases it is necessary to update the i225-V firmware, but let’s try the above procedure first.

Wow, I had disabled 225 in bios after the Kps and then I set up AppleVTD for the aquantia which worked great.

All I had to do was enable 225 in bios again and it's working perfectly with no KP's yet.

Thanks so much for your help, can't believe the answer was right in front of me.

Hi! I'm using the same configuration but with the gt710 (2gb) as gpu. Everything works smoothly, with dual display (hdmi and dvi), but the system sees another projector display connected to the vga port, that does not exist. Could someone tell me why?

Thanks guys! This post helped me a lot.

I don't know what would cause that. Maybe @CaseySJ or @pastrychef or @trs96 can help.

I haven't heard of this problem before, but here are some questions/comments anyway:
  • Which version of macOS?
  • Does the ghost projector disappear if...
    • Only HDMI is connected?
    • Only DVI is connected?
  • Does the ghost projector cause any problems such as...
    • Boot screen or login screen sometimes defaults to the ghost projector (VGA)?
    • When mouse moves to the edge of an actual monitor, it can subsequently move off-screen to the ghost projector (i.e. disappear from all screens)?

Hi Casey! Thanks for your reply!

I use Catalina.

Even if I plug one display (on HDMI or DVI) the ghost projector is always showed.

It never defaults to that screen. I had to set it as a duplicate of my main screen, otherwise the mouse pointer moves to that ghost screen depending where i set it on the display arrangement.

Done. Sorry!

I also attach a screen with my GPU on system report:
