Asus Z690 ProArt Creator WiFi (Thunderbolt 4) + i7-12700K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Is there any solution or advice for this problem?
Good question…
I notice there are no less than four unnamed bridges in the path. Maybe naming them could help Whatevergreen pick up the eGPU. But at least one bridge must be in the external enclosure and will not be fully initialised at the time SSDTs are loaded—I remember from another thread that attempting to use a SSDT to spoof a RX6900 XTXH in eGPU enclosure failed for this reason.

Thanks for reply. Any help will be appreciated.
So how can I name this bridges? Or do you recommend not to use SSDT at all?

Sorry for keeping you busy. I have no idea at all ☺️

  • When you created the USB port map, did you also create a port map diagram? If so, please post a copy of that.
  • There are two internal USB 2 headers on the motherboard. Is the WiFi/BT card connected to the left header or the right header?
  • Does the USB port map set both of these headers to type 255?
1) Port map created, attached.
2) They are HS13, HS14 as far as I understood, since its a hub and no change when I try to remove/connect.
Tried both side, one header is BT power, second is internal HUB for NZXT kraken + Smart control
3) Yes, I tried internal type on them.

Also I noticed that BT after sleep is refreshing and eats CPU.

Unfortunately this does not work because the GPU is attached to a removable connector (Thunderbolt port). We tried this several times in the past, but we simply cannot define or rename those bridge devices via SSDT or DeviceProperties. macOS dynamically creates them so anything we do will be deleted and replaced by macOS.

Good diagram!

What is "Smart Control"? The NZXT Kraken is okay (I have one of those).

3) Yes, I tried internal type on them.

Please post your USB port map file. If it's a kext, simply compress it first.

Both versions .aml attached: with ASMedia ports and w/o. Also a bit updated diagram.

What is "Smart Control"?
I mean NZXT Smart Devices v1 that come with H510i case.

Hey Casey Just finished my transfer from Z390 to Z690 Pro art, Everything is working amazingly and the 12900K is a beast for my Pro Tools rendering. My one issue is Thunderbolt hot plug. I have an Apollo X4 from Universal Audio, and it is a Thunderbolt 3 devices. Hot plug is not working under any of the suggested methods: not after reboot or sleep wake cycle, etc. The Device does connect if its on and plugged in from boot. I have updated all Thunderbolt drivers from Windows, and I'm running the latest BIOS. Here's my Reg Edit. The device thats' in red is my Apollo after shutting it off and back on.

I saw you posted that earlier Thunderbolt devices may not have hot plug functionality. But this Apollo has TB3.

Let me know if there's anything I should try. Previous BIOS version? Another SSDT? Is there a way to flash this controller like there was in Z390 Designare?

Please try attached SSDT in combination with USBInjectAll 0.77 downloadable from here:

Hello @rolotrealanis,

Which version of macOS are you running?

We are seeing improved hot plug behavior in macOS Ventura public beta. One experiment to try would be to install the public beta on a spare SSD, then installing UAD drivers and testing hot plug. In particular, please see this post:
