Thunderbolt 3 Modified Firmware Custom SSDT Discussion

Hello All;
Have a flashed TiTan Ridge flashed for Mac on my Hackintosh, after a cold boot the thunderbolt "Avid HD Native" does not show-up in the system information, after a reboot it shows-up under thunderbolt in the system information (fig.1) and not in the PCI (fig.2) nor the sound preferences pane (fig.3).
On the 2nd reboot it shows up in the sound preferences (fig.4) but not in the PCI pane under system information BUT works fine!
Have tried all SSDTs "almost" :)
Any Help anyone please!

Its quite normal on hackintoshes for the TR card to need one or more reboots to function properly. The PCI section of sys report is usually defined in the SSDT for thunderbolt, but its optional. As you say it is working, which is the important thing.

So glad mine is not normal then.. because everything works from cold boot; warm boot; hot plug; TB bus; shows in PCI. As probably said somewhere else in this post I use the designer z390 onboard firmware with my add in card.. I do not have thunder bolt header cable connected and instead have 3-5 jumper to force power. The SSDT is one of the early ones created when flashing TB cards became a thing at the start of covid.

I have jumped pin 3to5 app, don't have a TB header also, can you share your SSDTs pls? maybe it could help out!
Or do you have any suggestions?

I have a header, I just do not use it.. The system that does not have the header does not exprance the quality of life as the system with a header. That said these are the file that I use for the titan ridge.

Enable both SSDT-DTPG and SSDT-TB3 if you can. That should activate the Thunderbolt.

So many years and still the SSDT with the wrong written name is around. DTGP is the method used…

Hello Friends,

Please I need the Original Firmware of the GC-Alpine Ridge rev 2.0 Bin file my card is thunderbolt 15D2 if someone have this file please share it. thank you a lot.

I so confused after I read all this thread !!

I have the Alpine Ridge rev 2.0 and I can't flash it back to make it work again in windows I tried all the firmware but no one make it work.

I tried @Consigliere firmware normally it's the same one of my card but this firmware don't make my card recognized at all.

the strange thing that I see that my card can be recognized as a device "Thunderbolt 15D2" by using this firmware : AlpineRidgeEX3-NVM18-V1.bin, AlpineRidgeGC-NVM21-V3.bin, GC-ALPINE RIDGE-NVM21-V3-NATA.bin BUT still not working in windows 11

@scottkendall @NorthAmTransAm It's seems that those Firmware's have a mix of code that make the card start at boot but not working in windows by fault of incompatible patch ??

As I see the OEM comes with NVM 20 (Card not detected on boot) and all the patched one have NVM 33 (Card detected on boot external HDD light up but not working in windows)

What's the difference between Thunderbolt 1578 and 15D2 ?? as I see in gigabyte website there are only one version of GC Alpine Ridge Rev.2 and until now they don't provide the OEM Firmware on they support page !!

Now with all those firmware that we have of the Alpine Ridge Rev 2 no one of them can make the card work again in windows 11.

Any Advice or help ??

@BaGeRa

If you post your modified Alpine Ridge firmware, I can modify it back to original.
