Hello gents,
I have a Mellanox ConnectX-3 Pro SFP+ network card previously installed on my RyzenPRO system. I have searched the web to have this network card working on Ryzentosh but I found nothing.
At the moment, what solutions are available to get a 10Gbe networking with SFP+ ports on a hackintosh system?

Edit: I have Big Sur 11.6.3 installed, so I would need a card compatible with this OS.

Chelsio T520 cards are supported on macOS: Just install the driver from the manufacturer's website. The Catalina driver works in Big Sur.

I have only tested the T520, but I suppose that the T4 and T6 generations work as well. I'm just not ready to upgrade my network to 25 GbE or 100 GbE yet.

Hello, thanks for your reply.
Has anyone experience with the Solarflare SNF5122F under Big Sur 11.6? This card looks like cheaper than Chelsio.
Thank you

I have no personal experience with Solarflare yet, but have heard that SFL6122F have excellent support under FreeBSD and use less power than most 10 GbE NICs. At under $50 on eBay they certainly are attractive for network infrastructure (pfSense, TrueNAS) but for a hackintosh… where are you going to find a driver for macOS?
Xilinx, which bought Solarflare three years ago, only maintains a legacy driver for SFN5000 to 8000 series for Linux and Windows.

Out of curiosity. Why do you have need such a high end Network cards?

Solarflare NICs are expensive AF.

Expensive? These are old NICs, and be found second-hand at very friendly prices from companies which specialises on recycling server parts.

Hello,
I bought used on eBay, I don't remember well the exact price, but I think around 50/60 euros.
They are not really high-end cards; I need it for improving network performance (backup with Time Machine, accessing a large amount of pictures in my Lightroom library over my 10G network).

The NIC on the Asus Pro WS C621-64L Sage/10g(intel x550 I believe) works with SmallTree drivers under Monterey, haven’t heavily tested it yet but it works.
