AMD external GPU w6800 rendered useless by Monterey 12.3
Please be advised. I can no longer use my 2nd monitor, nor external GPU as playback is unusable. Confirmed by disconnecting the GPU and using internal AMD 5800 card and all played smoothly.

A useful piece of information for all those experiencing issues with 12.3 - and taking those to the Monterey Support Forum - is that macOS Monterey 12.3 no-longer ships with Python runtime apis.

So this might explain why certain software apps no-longer work.
Apple recommended installing Python 3.
So far, it would appear Python runtimes have not been restored. Perhaps the originals are left untouched if only an Update is performed?

I upgraded both Mac mini 2012 and HP 840G3 from Big Sur to Monterey 12.3. All apps work except gibMacOS which requires Python 2 so I installed Python 2.
Strangely, apps like WhatsApp, Github Desktop and VS Code crashed on HP 9470m as shown below. So, I revert HP 9470m to Monterey 12.2.1

bump/update to this: I just now tried with 12.3.1, and managed to get all the way through the install. It seems to me that 12.3.1 fixed the issue, at least for me. Now I have to decide if I want to cancel my Studio order...First failure in 6 or 7 years. Tried update and full installer. Boots to about 1/3 Apple logo thermometer, and just hangs. Maybe its the Gods telling me to buy a M1 Studio.. or just a good excuse...
