macOS 12.3 Update Causes Problems for 5700/6800/6900 Graphics Cards

This v12.3 is a complete shambles with bricking Macs with new logic boards, display probs, dgpu egpu probs, external displays connected via USB-C probs :banghead::banghead::banghead:
No kidding. And I have yet to hear any talk of either a 12.3.1 update or any other fix for Apple's snafu.

@tedyun

Thanks in advance

Hi @fenrrir

It looks correct. I'm not sure why it is giving you problems.

Maybe try mattystonnie's SSDT instead? There is a 5700 specific version here:

He also has a dAGPM kext that he said will help with the power management. When I was using his SSDT with my Vega 64, I didn't see much difference, so you can see if it works for you

@valvator

I think you need a </dict> after the last <string>ATY,Carswell</string>

If you want, you can upload your config.plist so we can check, but remember to scrub your serial first.
just an error in the copy-paste, I send my config.plist, thanks

Updated to 12.3.0 and had the same graphic issues so I added this to my EFI config.plist:

This is the results:

And no more artifacts using the Dynamic desktop pictures!
Super happy now.

Sorry for the naive question, do I need a gpu-related ssdt for this patch/workaround? or do I just add the appropriate entry in my config.plist? In my case, 5500xt.

Hi @valvator

Everything looks fine. I'm not sure why it doesn't work!

What is the exact make and model of your card?

You can use either, but for the SSDT, you would have to make sure your ACPI path specified in the SSDT matches with your configuration. If you don't want to deal with this, I would try the config.plist method first and if that doesn't work, we can help you out with the SSDT.

I'm so sick of this crap. What else I can change?! ;_;
I EVEN TRIED: ATY,Python / ATY,Keelback / ATY,Boa
