ASUS prime Z370-A Big Sur 11.2 sleep problem

btw... for the ASUS Z370-A, which BIOS version are you using with OC 0.7.9?

I'm still on v.2401, which was the latest version available when I converted from Clover to OpenCore. I don't know if my hand edited SSDT files are compatible with newer versions. It all depends on whether the newer BIOS releases alter the DSDT entries that I extracted. I'm generally conservative when it comes to BIOS updates. My motto is, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Just upgraded to Monterey 12.4(from Big Sur) using your latest efi @Scimitar thx

Not to worry, I'll continue to post new EFI's as I update to newer versions of OpenCore. Everything is still working smoothly with OC 0.7.9 so there's no pressing need to stay on the bleeding edge every month. I'll probably update to OC 0.8.2 when it formally releases in July.

Thanks @Scimitar.
Guys i am suffering from slow boot (5+ min) times due to TRIM and samsung NVMe.
So i disabled TRIM using opencore setting SetApfsTrimTimeout = 0.
Everything is back to normal now, but i believe that i have to move to a WD NVMe

Okay, here is my updated OC 0.8.2 EFI folder along with the standard reminder that you'll need to input your own PlatformInfo values for ROM (onboard ethernet MAC address), MLB, SystemSerialNumber, and SystemUUID to ensure that the various iServices work properly.

Are any of the updates - see below for OC 0.8.3 - needed for ASUS Z370-A boards?

0.8.3 - https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/master/Changelog.md

  • Added ext4 file system driver
  • Added support for macOS 13 DP3 Kernel Collection
  • Added --force-device option to AudioDxe, allowing UEFI audio on HDA contollers which misreport themselves as non-HDA audio devices
  • Provided optional unsafe fast file logging (suitable only for firmware with a fully compliant FAT32 driver)
  • Fixed incorrect OSBundleLibraries_x86_64 handling during cacheless injection

I personally don't think so. You'll need it if you want to play with the macOS Ventura public beta but I'm not really interested in playing around with it.
