[Guide] MSI Meg Z490 Unify Big Sur OpenCore

Not really, this card is expensive, no iGPU, and is less easy than other brand to build a hack. Look at a model from Gigabyte be my advice.

I have this card coz i bought it very cheap.

Hello, I would like some help because I cannot start my installation. I followed Dortania's guide using the EFI folder of this topic, I tried to do my config.plist on my own but it doesn't work : OCB: StartImage failed - Unsupported

Big Sur with latest Opencore.

MB : MSI Z490 Unify
CPU : i5 11600K
GPU : RX 5500 4GB

Okay. We will try to help, but please upload attachments as *.zip archives. macOS has no native support for *.rar.

Double-check the version of OpenCore you are using and that all the components are from the same distribution.

When I run ocvalidate from OC 0.7.9 on your config.plist, there are no errors. Is this the version of OC you are using?

Yes I am using version 0.7.9 of OpenCore

It's good I managed to install Big Sur using the OpenCore provided for Rocket Lake found here: https://github.com/luchina-gabriel/BASE-EFI-INTEL-DESKTOP-11THGEN-ROCKET-LAKE

Ethernet, wi-fi, bluetooth, iMessage seem functional, but even with alcid=11, I have no sound.

I also have a problem with the RAMS?

I put you my EFI file if people more experienced than me can help me. Thank you.
