Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Last picture of my new AMD X570 Extreme rig before being loaded up for the move. I decided to remove the vertical mount for the RX 6900 XT, which, in turn, forced me to rework most of the loop. I also skinned the 1200W PSU with blue automotive vinyl, although you can barely see it through the little window. I really like the way everything turned out, including the soft tubing. When it finally arrives at the new house I'll run the leak test and then finish it off with the CableMod power cables. After months of waiting for parts, a couple more weeks should be easy.

Someone has installed macOS successfully on the companion Asus X570S ProArt Creator WiFi. That bodes well for your Crosshair VIII Extreme!

It’s necessary to be on OpenCore 0.7.4 and perhaps disable SecureBootModel. In BIOS, set the macOS internal SSD as first boot priority. Then start the upgrade once again from “System Preferences —> Software Update”.

How bad is the Ethernet situation on Monterey? Are there any other issues for this build in upgrading, that people have experienced?

People that use non-native BT chipsets have had problems. Use search.

I have indeed used search, but in the posts in this thread, it has mainly been about the Intel Ethernet issues. I was just wondering after a handful of days with the release version, if people had any issue specifically in regards to this build.

Intel BT is unsupported in Monterey. Assume it will be problematic. Here's a quote from a 2020 MBP owner having BT problems with Monterey, even when using a supported chipset.
So I have a MacBook Pro 2020 (the last of the intel kind) and I've been trying (failing) to get bluetooth working since I've updated to the new version. I have a bluetooth headset which I know for a fact works (it does on other devices) but kept disconnecting after a couple of seconds every time I connected to it from the MacBook. I followed some tutorials on how to fix these types of issues, including the one where I remove the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file. After a restart, the bluetooth was "working" again, in that it was connected to it via bluetooth, but it wasn't detected as an audio output.

Unfortunately both of the Ethernet ports on Gigabyte B550 Vision D are Intel i211 ports that were operational in Big Sur and Catalina with SmallTreeIntel82576 kext. But this kext does not work in Monterey. People are scrambling to find an alternative such as AppleIGB.kext, but it is not entirely stable at this time.

Fortunately Ethernet ports on (a) Thunderbolt docks and (b) USB-C docks are okay.

I found also this kext "AppleI2xx.kext" that seems to be ok. Doesn't work just after sleep. Can anyone test it? (don't know if it is the same of AppleIGB"
