Hi, I want to run Windows 10 on a "Macbook" with i5 / 16GB RAM / UHD 620. I had a PD trial and Windows was very slow, even loading a browser page took forever. I've seen the recommended spec for running Parllels but wondering what would be the most helpful thing to upgrade - if anything.

are you using a Solid State Drive in this "MacBook"?

Yes - it shows up as Solid State PCI-Express Drive

Hi there.

I can't seem to find a MacBook or a MacBookPro with a UHD620 iGPU in the lists. What exact model/year is yours?

There seems to be a disconnect here. I am asking about guidance on using Parallels Desktop on a Hackintosh laptop!

yes, i already understand that

Could be a few things..
  • The latest parallels has a know bug with graphics (especially passthrough eGPU)
  • Your iGPU is not powerful enough (you could try an eGPU)
  • Go to Control Center -> Configure -> Hardware -> Graphics -> Advanced settings and disable vsync
Probably the easiest solution is to just dual boot with an external SSD or try VMWare fusion demo and compare performance.
