Running either the Apple Radeon Pro 580X MPX or Radeon Pro W5500X in a Hackintosh

Hi,

I was wondering if either an Apple Radeon Pro 580X MPX or Radeon Pro W5500X will work in a Hackintosh. Thinking of getting them used from eBay since new graphics cards are either hard-to-find or too damn expensive. I'm way overdue for an upgrade and want to run, at the very least, Catalina.

Has anyone got them to work in any of their builds?

These cards don't have molex connectors for power. They get their power from an extra proprietary connector on the board. I don't think there is any way to get them to work.

The AMD Radeon Pro W5500 (non MPX) card might be worth a look - https://www.amd.com/en/products/professional-graphics/radeon-pro-w5500

Not sure how easy they are to get hold of secondhand, but I would assume that if the MPX version works in a Mac Pro then the non MPX version should work in a Hackintosh. As the Device ID for the two cards will be similar if not identical.
