HackinDROM App for OpenCore EFI Creation and Update

Hi,

This looks excellent but I'm a little confused.

On the https://hackindrom.zapto.org/ website my motherboard is available from the "Select Thunderbolt Controller" dropdown menu (ASRock Z490 ITX/ac) - but it isn't available from the "Motherboard" dropdown menu in the app.

Is there a process to add my motherboard to the app please? Should I download the appropriate SSDT from https://hackindrom.zapto.org/ and apply it somewhere? If not, what are my options if my board isn't listed in the app?

Thanks,

Steve

Are you the owner of a Golden Build in TonyMacx86? If so, you are prequalified to add your EFI folder to the database.
  • Please request Admin login and password by sending Private Message to @Inqnuam
Are you the owner of a User Build in TonyMacx86? If so, please post a link to your build thread so we can qualify you.
  • Once qualified, please request Admin login and password by sending Private Message to @Inqnuam
If you don't have a Golden Build or User Build, but would like to add your build, we would like to help you too! Please reply to this thread with a simple description:
  • Make / Model of motherboard
  • CPU
  • OpenCore Version
Also provide a list of what may not work fully. For example:
  • Does sleep/wake work?
  • Does EFI support OpenIntelWireless drivers? (It's okay if this is not supported.)
  • Does restart/shutdown work?
  • Does FaceTime and Messages work?
  • Does WiFi and Bluetooth work (Broadcom-based)? (It's okay if no WiFi/BT card is installed.)
  • If Thunderbolt exists, does EFI support Thunderbolt hot plug?

Illustrated guide for submitting builds to the HackinDROM database:

That build is inspired by Casey’s B550, this is compilation from multiple builds on web

* Make / Model of motherboard - ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 (NR200 Case)

* CPU - AMD Ryzen 2700

* OpenCore Version - 0.6.9

* dGPU - SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega64

* Does sleep/wake work? - Yes
* Does EFI support OpenIntelWireless drivers? -Yes (& Bluetooth)
* Does restart/shutdown work? - Yes
* Does FaceTime and Messages work? - Messages -Yes (Didn’t test FaceTime)
* Does WiFi and Bluetooth work (Broadcom-based)? No Broadcom based card
* If Thunderbolt exists, does EFI support Thunderbolt hot plug? - Yes but didn’t test yet

We may need to consider renaming the app or adding the Thunderbolt SSDT capability.

There are 3 very different functions:
  1. Generating a Thunderbolt hot plug SSDT
  2. Transferring PlatformInfo credentials from one config file to another
  3. Installing a full OpenCore EFI folder with PlatformInfo credentials
The website (not the app) does 1 and 2.
The app (not the website) does 3.

Good to have another Ryzen system.

The database only contains the motherboards that users submit. The database will not include every motherboard. If your board is not (yet) in the database, please install OpenCore manually.
