Hey guys, i need your help. I just installed BigSur on my PC and everything except Audio is working fine. I copied Lilu/AppleALC.kext to /kext and changed the layout to =1 but it still doesnt work. What else could i do?

Hi there.

You should try a few more of the layout IDs for this codec. There's a good chance it will be 1, 2 or 3 but there are several others MSI might have used.

Scroll down to ALC892 in this list and you will see what I mean:

Okay.

As you have chosen to use the alcid boot-argument to specify your layout-id, did you reset the NVRAM before each reboot when testing?

Keep trying! You still have 4, 5, 7, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, 28, 31, 90, 92, 97, 99 and 100

There were a few items in the config.plist. I removed these, you may want to test this with a USB boot stick.

Devices should be in DevicesProperties section.

There is another DSDT patch in ACPI that may not be correct? Screen Shot 2021-04-18 at 10.24.43 PM.png

Thanks, i tried it with your plist, but i doesnt boot.

I ran "-v" as boot args, and the problem was that a kext wasnt refered to correctly in .plist. But audio still does not work. Should i try every sinlge config? ANd how do i reset NVRAM?
