Hi, I'm running a legacy build on OSX 10.13.6 (Gigabyte P67A-UD3P-B3) and I want to upgrade the MOBO but still use the CPU/GXF/Ram etc!

Does anyone know of a LGA1155 Mobo that has Thunderbolt (or accepts a Thunderbolt card). I fancy moving from Legacy to UEFI but at the same time 'd like to be able to add Thunderbolt if possible.

Is the GIGABYTE Z77X-UP4 TH a mobo that will work for a High Sierra or Mojave Build?

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Your best bet would be one of the Asus P8Z77 boards that have the thunderbolt header to allow connection to the Asus Thunderbolt PCIe expansion card if you can find either one still on the market. You can only get TB2 - TB3 did not come out until Skylake and by the Z77/1155 were obsolete.

Check the user builds using the forum search.

The GA-Z77X-UP4 TH has Thunderbolt and should be compatible with MacOS High Sierra. But can you still find it?
