The common thread among your three problem services: iCloud, FaceTime, and the Mac App Store -- would be your AppleID account.
Do have a working iTunes account? It, too, would rest on your AppleID account. If your iTunes account is configured properly, then you just need to input its successful credentials into the other three features you're troubleshooting in the ways they require. You should be receiving error messages explaining the non-functionality, along with a request to offer a valid AppleID & password.

So my hunch is that you are not experiencing a wifi or network issue; rather you have an account issue, and you just need to present your AppleID to the places you're having issues.

If I've missed your point, please provide examples of what you've tried.

It is not my account because iTunes on this computer works great. What did you do to get Mac AppStore working?

That is for Ethernet!! I did that but still did not work.

Actually ethernet or not those methods worked for me. Try to update to lastest Chimera and then try those methods

Hey, Ravi,

I received and installed this mag-mount antenna extension. It increased signal strength to my WAP and revealed more wifi networks. Worth the $10 for sure:

i bought an apple airport card from eBay. it gets recognized, but i can't get it to turn on. I'm trying to get it working on a Toshiba Laptop. Any suggestions???

1) Is it a BC4321 or 4322?
2) In Network sys prefs, does the card appear as "AirPort" in the list of network options? If so, when you highlight it, can you choose Make Service Active from the star menu?

Good. That means it is on & Active.

3) Under the Advanced button, how have you configured TCP/P & DNS ?
4) What brand WAP router ?
