Has someone tried this in a ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING? I can't seem to find that Serial Port option.

Try looking under the "Advanced" tab in the BIOS (between "AI Tweaker" and "Monitor"). Likely need to scroll way down to the bottom to see something like "Serial Port Configuration"

Worked on the desktop in signature.
 
Recently upgraded to Catalina and got black screen on wake. Now it's fixed on my GA-Z97x-Gaming 3. Thanks!
 
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've had this motherboard for 6 years, and never had sleep working properly. I spent 3 hours last night following OpenCore's 'Fixing Sleep' guide to no avail. I decide to call it a night, and randomly start googling my error message today, and after all that work, it turns out all I needed to do was disable the serial port in BIOS. Thanks again!
 
Thank you! Disabled Serial A port (COM) on GA-Z77-DS3H and finally I am able to wake up the system from sleep.
 
Brilliant! Works here too. "I can wake form sleep normally" is on my next T shirt :clap:
