@Sniki Never thought I'd get running Big Sur this fast! Thanks a ton! Everything works just fine, aside from the brightness control, like @thedomis reported. Likewise, it starts working after closing and opening the lid.

For everyone running a DW1560, to have working WiFi in Big Sur you need to:
  • Block (set to Enabled = False OR set MaxKernel to 19.9.9, which is Catalina) or remove AirPortBrcm4360_Injector.kext.
  • Enable AirPortBrcmNIC_Injector.kext (set to Enabled = True and clear MinKernel & MaxKernel values).
Reference
So AirportBrcm4360_injector is not needed on Big Sur and only NIC_injector is required ?

ha! just said the same thing on another thread :)

also mentioned here at the bottom of the page:

A note to everyone with BT problems on Big Sur. It doesn't even work that well on M1 Macs yet. Still a lot for Apple to figure out with these new speedy Macs. The Mac mini M1 is basically a Macbook Air/Pro without a keyboard and display.

yes, it does need to be read a few times, basically in OpenCore config.plist, just don't add the plugin to the list of kexts :)

I keep it but i set maxkernel to 19.9.9 (maximum latest possible Catalina) and nothing above so it doesn't load on Big Sur.

I removed the NIC_Injector Maxkernel and minkernel so it loads on all of them if necessary to someone who needs it.

probably the best way for a guide EFI :)

The Wireless issues have been resolved in master.
I also added ALCPlugFix-Swift version from Black-Dragon74 which doesn't require CodecCommander, alc-verb or hda-verb to fix static noise.

If you have my version of ALCPlugFix already installed, you may want to uninstall it by running the uninstall.sh script from my ALCPlugFix github repository.

Installer and usage of the new ALCPlugFix are now live on the Lenovo-ThinkPad-T440S repository.

Enjoy !

About the Brightness issue, i haven't managed to produce the issue in my T440S, to be honest i don't know where the problem may be in your cases. however when it's not working i would like one of you to do 2 things:
- Provide an Ioreg while it's not working
- Go to Sysprefs > Displays > and see if there is a brightness slider and test to change brightness from there and let me know if it works from there or not.

Third: try to disable EFI/OC/Config.plist > Kernel > Add > AppleBacklightSmoother.kext: Enabled=No

Attached, for me the brightness does not work with CSM disabled.
Go to Sysprefs > Displays > and see if there is a brightness slider and test to change brightness from there and let me know if it works from there or not.
Does not work either with CSM disabled
Third: try to disable EFI/OC/Config.plist > Kernel > Add > AppleBacklightSmoother.kext: Enabled=No
No change, still not working with CSM disabled.
