I have managed to get OC to boot into Big Sur. Everything seems to be working correctly except for audio and brightness. I have tried every layout-ids for ALC292 but still cannot get audio to work.

For brightness, I am using SSDT-PNLF file posted in a thread by Rehabman along with AppleLightFixup as well as other other kexts such as BacklightSmoother and Brightness keys but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone with a Lenovo L440 laptop gotten this to work in BS? @Sniki, I know you have mentioned that this laptop is working great with BS. How did you manage to fix these two issues?

These two features were working with Clover in Catalina but I haven't been able to replicate those settings with OC and BS.

OpenCore guide for Lenovo L440 is on its way and coming soon.

I am waiting for your guide. It was your guide that got me to run macOS on this laptop in the first place. It's just frustrating that I can't get these two things to work by myself.

Check my post. I had an issue with Audio as well, my audio required two PCIroot entries in DeviceProperties.

I have these two audio devices:

Code:
8 Series/C220 Series Chipset High Definition Audio Multimedia controlle Audio device /PCI0@0/HDEF@1B pci8086,8c20 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1B,0x0)

Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor HD Audio Co Multimedia controlle Audio device /PCI0@0/HDAU@3 pci8086,c0c PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)

Does the layout ID go in the first or second one? I have attached a list of all PCI devices.

layout-id goes into the first one

I had to patch HPET to get audio to work. Now the only thing remaining is to fix brightness keys
please read the faq for proper hardware profile setup:

When I open the DSDT file for my laptop in MacIASL, there is nothing getting populated in the left panel. Any idea why this could be?

For instance on my desktop PC, when I open DSDT, I see DSDT --> _SB and so on.

Also, how do I use iasl in BS? I can't copy the file to the usr/bin folder and when I try to execute it from a different location, it gives an error "command not found". I am trying to decompile all *.aml files that OC extracted.
