Although I successfully updated to the second Public Released BS Beta, I decided to see if I could spoof my old specs to one of the new 2020 Mac models. Here is the result on a test disk still running the first Public Released Beta, if anyone is interested how, I will post the process which was surprisingly easy.

You made my mouth water, very interested to learn how you accomplished that feat, well done in any case.

I used OCBuilder, then exchanged the PlatformInfo into my existing config.plist

As ekohn00 pointed out it is as easy as that but I would hold off from adopting a change to a 2020 Mac Model as they are not supported to run BS as reported by Apple. With my installation a lot of Apple apps did not work or were too glitchy in the latest Public Beta of Big Sur. If you're still determined to change your current running SmBIOS Mac model to a 2020 one, Opencore Configurator has a few of the new 2020 models listed and you can pick the one that is closest to your specs but it will only run Catalina, you won't be able to run BS trouble free. For more info on this read the comments by Apple in the 'Feedback Assistant'. Good luck.

Thanks, in the interim I will stick with what I have because it is working. Just good to know what avenues exit should the need arise further down the line.
