can someone explain what about us we just bought a brand new MacBook Pro ? we are fine or the new arm chips will over-perfom us?

Who else produces ARM based desktop hardware ?

Qualcomm does but for laptops.
I wouldn't be surprised if some desktop ARM CPUs were created in the years to come, even if it isn't the first purpose of arm architecture

It's hard to forecast where this goes, though I still think Intel will provide the highest end chips for some years. Honestly depends on how fast Intel improves their products. Look up "Intel Core i9-9900K vs Apple A13 Bionic" on Gadget Versus. The i9 is scoring 19,775 vs the Bionic's 13,554. On one hand, it is stunning Intel can't do better. At the same time, professionals need every bit of performance they can muster. The future of hackintoshing might come down to two things: First, can Intel maintain enough margin over the chips Apple provides; Second, will Apple close the margin enough a performance hit for Intel processors requiring emulation, or the cost of maintaining MacOS to run on Intel chips, finally end any interest in Intel.

Even after watching Intel screw the pooch for years, it's hard to believe they aren't going to keep slugging away toward 5nm. If they get there before Apple's chip development closes the gap, Apple might have to keep Intel in the Pro series products.

In things like Geekbench they probably will. I wouldn't ever buy the 1st gen of anything Apple makes. I did that once and never again. The first Arm based Macs will have many issues that are not resolved for a few years. Keep your Intel MBP it's still good. They fixed the keyboard problems and perform quite well.

Scores of Geekbench 5 for iPad Pro 12.9" (A12Z) are 1118 (single-core), 4625 (multi-core) and 9539 (Metal). Close to mid-range CPUs, but the Metal performance is underwhelming.

The first Intel-based Macs suck!
