[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I forgot to check the FireWire tab, good call! It is actually there. I'm trying to connect a Camcorder. And on the display of the camcorder it says that its connected.. but computer doesn't recognise it.. oh well. I'll do some more testing. Thanks for the help!
That's good news, at least partially!

One thought before my knowledge runs out ... try one of the other PCI slots, as I believe the PEG1 device in IOreg is related to external graphics. Possibly macOS expects a graphics card in the PCI slot you're currently using.

After changing the slot, check if you can still find the IOFireWireController in IOreg and see if it is located under an other device than PEG1. Hopefully this will work.

I removed the 300-Series RTC patch and added the attached 0-SSDT-RTC0.aml file. Sleep has now worked perfectly for 2 days. ( Clover 5112 )
But wait...no more sleep. What a surprise.

At the bottom of Post #1 there's some information about FireWire cards and user experiences...

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a CCC issue.

My bootable backups works great...no issues. But I recently turned on Snapshots and I get this error from CCC when it tries to Snapshot the Data APFS volumes.

But I can manually Snapshot the volume successfully using "tmutil" from terminal.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Lam

When CCC encounters an error, it usually provides a Recommendation as well -- see attached screenshot. In the worst case we can click Help Me, which will open a problem reporting dialog that will send related logs to Bombich tech support.

Hi @CaseySJ,

It only says "...if the problem persists, choose "Ask a question about CCC..."... I couldn't find anything specific.

I was worried that they don't officially support anything other than Apple products. Do you know if CCC is making snapshots for you?

Thanks,
Lam

I reported a problem to them a couple of weeks ago. They didn't care that it was a Hackintosh and provided me with a solution to my problem straight away.

@CaseySJ I just can't get my Apollo x4 to work. Universal Audio drivers say "No devices found". It's also not listed in the PCI devices as can be seen for other posters. See image below. Any idea how I could go about trouble-shooting it? I've restarted the Apollo and System several times and tried a couple different thunderbolt settings in the BIOS (V8).

Thanks!

Hello @RuiNeves,

We can manually enter the External Icons Patch as follows:
  • Name: AppleAHCIPort
  • Find* [HEX]: 45787465 726E616C
  • Replace* [HEX]: 496E7465 726E616C
  • Comment: External Icons Patch
The current version of UniBeast installs Clover 5107, which puts all EFI drivers in CLOVER/drivers/UEFI folder. So wherever you see:
  • drivers64UEFI
... you may replace that with:
  • drivers/UEFI
Good luck with the rest of the install.

I was reviewing all the steps (my gear has not arrived yet...) and also found that the UEFI folder in drivers created with the latest clover and Unibeat is different...

in your guide there are these entries in the drivers64UEFI folder:
ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi
AudioDxe-64.efi
DataHubDxe-64.efi
FSInject-64.efi
OsxAprioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
PartitionDxe-64.efi
SMCHelper-64.efi

VBoxHfs-64.efi

and in my folder UEFI (from de Drivers folder) there are these present/created:
ApfsDriverLoader.efi
AudioDxe.efi
DataHubDxe.efi
FSInject.efi
OsxAprioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
VBoxHfs.efi
VirtualSmc.efi

Also discovered that on the Kexts - Other folder:
FakeSMC.kext was already substituted for VirtualSMC.Kext

The Mojave version is the latest 10.14.6

Do I need to change anything?
will this work as intended?

Sorry for all these questions
Thanks
