Turns out my issue was I wasn’t getting accelerated graphics on the onboard Intel UHD Graphics 630. Much better now!

Does anyone have a have a solid working EFI folder they'd be willing to share that will work with the following configuration:

Gigabyte Z390 Aorous Pro WiFi - BIOS ver F11
Intel i9-9900K (not OC'd)
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200MHz - 64GB (4x16GB)
Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 - 1TB x 2
Onboard Graphics

Running Sys Def 18,2

BIOS settings would be helpful as well.

I've got the system running and everything seems to work, ie: onboard audio, ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth off an add on card. I haven't checked all of the USB ports yet.

However the system is very slow! It's especially noticeable when opening Launchpad.

Thank You
Troy

Please post your EFI.

install Intel Power Gadget, see if you are getting the right frequency, I am using iMac19,1 SMBIOS.

BIOS settings are important, nots of data on that. below is what my EFI/CLOVER folder, Only use what you need.

Please post your EFI.

Anyone that checks it is probably going to get a good laugh. Unfortunately I've gone through so many versions that I've lost track. It doesn't work well, but the system does boot and I've got too many things going on to be able to spend the time on it that I would need to.

Help is very much appreciated!

Thank You
Troy

Actually it is not too bad apart from a slight difference in the Clover folder tree layout. In the new versions of Clover, the UEFI Folder now resides in the Drivers Folder doing away with the 'drivers64UEFI' Folder, maybe that's the cause of slow boot up. I've changed nothing apart from that part of your EFI Folder and attached it here. As advised earlier you really should find an alternative to 'OsxAptioFix2Drv-Free2000.efi'.

As I have near identical components I did upload my EFI Folder for you to compare but it seems that I unknowingly infringed the site rules and the post was deleted. The only thing that comes to mind is my use of another web site's icons in my Clover Theme Folder or the two Drivers replacing the need for the 'OsxAptioFix2Drv-Free2000.efi' Driver.

It would have been informative to get an explanation even by PM so that I don't make that mistake in future.
(Mods please note this is not criticism just bewilderment and if deemed as such please edit or delete post - Thank you)

I don't see any major issues with your config.plist. One thing I suggest you try is changing system definition to iMac18,1. I've found using iMac18,1 works best with systems that do not have a discrete video card.

As mentioned above, try to avoid using AosxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi. The dev of that driver himself has warned against its use due to fear of damaging hardware.

You can also check my Z390 build thread, posts #1, 2, and 4, for information on how to get NVRAM working. This can only help your system stability. Link is below in my signature.

Thank you very much! I’ll try out sys def 18,1 as well as check out your Z390 build thread. I never realized that the signatures on messages might have links to other threads.

Thank you for your response and suggestions. For clarification, I am not experiencing a slow boot up, in fact boot up is quite quick. I'm experiencing slow performance once in macOS.

Thanks Again
Troy
