Hi,

Any help would be appreciated. Installing Catalina a clean install on:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K CPU @ 3.5 GHz
Architecture: Skylake - 6th generation Intel Core
Family: 6 (06h)
Model: 94 (5Eh)
Stepping: 3 (03h)
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
Audio: Realtek ALC1150
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 4x8GB DDR4 3200MHz C16 - Blue LED
Video card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G
Destination drive: WD Blue 3D NAND SSD 2TB

BIOS:
Virtual-d disabled, integrated graphics disabled, serial port disabled.

Created install USB with Unibeast. When loading into Catalina install after I select to boot from USB, system hangs on apfs_module_start:1683 (screenshot attached). After a while screen garbles up and a stop sign is displayed (screenshot attached).

I am including clover EFI directory with all .kexts and configuration files.

Read forums, tried:
1. placing SSDT-EC.aml in ACPI->Patched - no effect
2. placing SSDT-ECUSBX.aml in ACPI->Patched - a different crash message (screenshot attached to this message, file name "Error with SSDT-ECUSBX_aml.jpeg"). I attached "SSDT-ECUSBX.aml" to this message just in case as well.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Here is my EFI for my z170 system. If you get the system booting and the OS installed then fix the USB.

Thanks for EFI. Placed your EFI. Changed serial nr.

No luck still hanging at the same message. What version of BIOS are you using and what settings do you have?

well we do not have the same board so my bios version is not important.

Try adding that to my efi see if you still have issues.

My settings are the standard settings that this forum recommends.


You might also try installing with the 5700 XT not installed in the system and use the onboard video.

Solved this issue with Clover configurator by changing config.plist.

Kernell and kext patches -> KextsToPatch:
NAME: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily Find*:83FB0F0F Replace*:83FB3F0F
NAME: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI Find*:83F90F0F Replace*:83F93F0F

is any possible to share your EFI file to me ? I have the same mainboard asus z170 pro gaming, but still trapped on catalina installation. I'm appreciated your any suggestion or experience sharing,

Thanks to your EFI folder, I could get to the macOS Catalina install!
