Thanks for your input! My question is this z390 board works well? Or could I invest money to buy a better motherboard? My work is editing raw video, heavy vfx. and I would like to know if you could tell me what usb2.0 memory you used? And which of the ports on the board did you connect? please!!!! It's my first hackintosh and I can't even make the USB work, it doesn't boot. Thank you!!! :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

I have the same question. I would like to build a system now with a cheaper 9th gen. processor for video editing, and eventually RAW video color correction in Resolve, that I can upgrade with the I9 9900K when it becomes cheaper.

Could you post your full EFI folder of Z390UD Mojave working properly?
That's such a big help...
This is mine. It has the same problem as anyone: video driver that doesn't work properly straight from the start with causes mouse freezing (disappears after 30 sec or so). Also it happens from time to time that it doesn't recognize my lan straight away. A reboot solves this, anyone else having this problem or is it just me? Also... Mac OS Catalina is out!! Anyone tried it so far on this setup? I hope to give it a go next week.

Waow, my friend!!! You saved me!!! After 40 hours on this build, I thought I'll never get it.

Now I have sound, HDMI video with 1536Mb and LAN working. Fabulous, thanks you soooo much.

Only one thing that is not OK : mouse very slow during more than one minute after startup.
If anyone knows why?

HI @grib666, I have the exact same build as you and I have experienced also the problem with the Intel UHD 630. Can you gave me a simple guide (step by step but not super detailed) of what you have done to solve the problem? (how do you create the usb ,if you use Unibeast , what to do with the EFI folder that @MatanLevis suggested ecc). Thank you in advance :)

Hi everyone,

I'm mounting a hackintosh for a friend with this same motherboard. Your EFI and config.plist helped me a lot.

Just wondering, have anyone solved the mouse lag after boot?

Thanks.
this can be fixed using iMac19,1.

i have a gigabyte z390 ud board (f9 bios), along with an i5-8400 cpu and uhd 630 and that fixed it for me.

The easiest solution would be to use an other Mac to install the operating system on the hard drive you intent to use, install the latest clover on that drive, then copy my efi folder to the efi partition on the drive. Since the lag on startup doesn't bother me at all, and the lan error hardly occurs I don't intent to fix that. I tried a quick Catalina install on another hard drive without succes so far

Hello - For those who have gotten the Gigabyte Z390 UD working, what bios rev are you using? I upgraded my board to the lastest version, which was F10a, then tried F9. I can't even boot off a USB drive to start the install. I see kernal panics. Tried vanilla and unibeast but no luck and various EFI folders, but can't get it to even get me to the macos install point from the usb drive. Tried USB2 hubs, various ports, usb2 and usb3 drives, no luck.
