yoga c940 installation help request

With this the machine boot up to the installer, but I can't reformat the disk,

First the installer worked well, after reboot and third reboot it's hanging.

When I start the usb installer not "start installer from SSD" after the first setup instance I'm unable to format the ssd over the macos installer.

I have a second bootstick with gparted where I'm able to reformat the ssd.
When I start again the installer I'm able to create a apfs volume.

I know that my graphic settings are false.

There are some things I do not understand.
But this should be solved later.




So how to reverse the bytes that I get 0900A53E also which device I'd I would need for the UHD630?
Also at the moment I do not know if I need a stolenmen patch. But with wrong device-id I'm able to run the installer.

have you tried a fresh clean config.plist from the laptop guide untouched?
 
It's not my first hackintosh and spend lot of time in there.

I tried it with a clean config, the actual config work fine for installation.
First I wanted to prevent use the SSD from my other yoga730 which is also running macOS.
But this solve the problem with the ssd.

I'll attach later my pr, efi folder.

At the moment I'll try to fix my gpu, this notebook has a different screen size as other notebooks so the resolution is
3840 x 2160.

With wrong device ID the System Detects the UHD 630 with 31MB Ram, so I think I need a minstolenpatch for whatevergreen.

Also I noticed that at the bottom from the display the screen is not fully used. horizontal 3 centimeter are black. Think this is cause the resolution.
 
Think the problem of this thread is solved.
For the UHD630 I'll open a new thread.

Hello thefiredragon,

I also have the yoga c940 15” but having trouble getting a working configuration getting to install.

Would you please be so kind to provide your working EFI partition zip file with the working intel UHD630 please.

I got macos only running with external display, internal won‘t work, on big sur -cdfon option will not work, for 4K panels you need to spoof an edited edid to 48hz instead of 60hz
On this Notebook the main issue is the display which also had Problems under linux.
I sold this notebook, ‚cause the panel use specific driver to handle the screen size
