macOS 10.15.1 Update

Have you updated your Whatevergreen kext file with the 1.3.4 version? Its sounds like that is your issue, not the one I was having.

Yes, I did updated WEG to 1.3.4 and also the Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext. But I still need to use "agdpmod=pikera " at boot up. Otherwise, black screen.
I also noticed after boot in the system, my RX580 fan stopped, but it still working.

nvm, the fan is working once the temp go up.

I have Mohave and Catalina on 2 separate disks. They were working perfectly until I upgraded to 10.15.1 on the Catalina disk. I never had to use WEG, just Lilu, and that's still what is working on the Mohave disk, what I'm using right now. I have tried every combination of, WEG 1.3.4, Lilu 1.3.8, agdpmod=pikera boot arg., I get nothing but black screens. 2 monitors. Tried using just 1 monitor in all ports, and nothing works. I know 10.15.1 is working because I have Remote Desktop on another computer and can connect with no problem. I can see my RX580 in system report but no displays are attached. Can't figure out what's going on, any help would be much appreciated.

Same problem here. I have the same GPUs. I actually booted using my intel GPU and I got homescreen and checked software version and it’s updated. So the problem is definitely the RX580. I’ve tried all the suggestions here. I may take the card out, boot using input, then put the RX580 back in to see if it installs it. That’s my last option.
UPDATE:
I pulled the RX580, booted on intel igpu and this is what I found:

As you can see, the update had finished.
I then shutdown, reinstalled the RX580, rebooted, and still black screen.
This is crazy. I bought the 580 because it was native and Apple friendly.
I have tried every suggestion here including Latest WEG,Lilu,AppleALC, boot args, you name it.
If you guys can offer any other suggestions I will try them.
Other than that, I'll forego the update on this computer.
Ironically, My NUC8i5BEH updated quickly and accurately. Go figure.

Update smooth for my Mac Pro.
Now waiting for my ordered 5700XT to kick out Nvidia

I have it working again:
- re-installed Mojave 10.15.0
- updating clover boot loader to the latest version
- updating all KEXT to the latest versions
- Updated to 10.15.1

Makes no sense...
my best guess is, that the bootloader delivered new kext that I have missed before as I was updating EFI only.

The update went smoothly for the PowerHack G5. Updated Lilu and Whatevergreen beforehand. Approximately 15 minutes and three reboots with manual selection of the « Data » partition in Clover, and here we go. Z370 and RX580.

First confirm you have the lastest versions of:
Clover (v2.5K_5070)
In the EFI volume, \EFI\CLOVER\kexts\10.15\
-AppleALC.kext (1.4.2)
-Lilu.kext (1.3.8)
-WhateverGreen.kext (1.3.4) The only one I haved to Update.

I ever restart the machine for check its all fine before run the update and have the system clean.
Then run the Update from the System Preferences -> Software Update.
Boot on every restarts (in my case 3) from the "Boot MacOS Intall from (YourDiskName)- Data" partition until this partition desapears

Done!
All works fine in my case!

PD: In my case (i'm from Argentina) the new "Mate" emoji compensate all work and headakes to keep my Hackintosh up to day (thanks to all the tonymacx86 community more easy every time).
