I hatbeen using these SSD for dual booting Mac & Windows 10 on my laptop. The laptop suddenly became unusable then turned off. It does not want to turn on windows or Mac anymore.
I used external enclosure to plug it on desktop but I get error message when using crucial software.

Error:
crucial ssd exceeded smart threshold

"It's dead Jim!" I've owned 5 or 6 Crucial SSDs. 550s, mx100, bx100, mx200 -- ALL but the 550 are dead. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy Crucial SSDs IMHO.

I've had good luck with Mushkin Reactors -- Get them while you can, they use the faster MLC chips but they are being phased out. Can't go wrong with Samsung if you can find a deal. Think I paid $135 for my last 1TB 860. I got an HP EX950 2TB that is great. I suspect the HP SATA drives will be good too.
