[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Yes I think that may be a good idea now! Remember to go slowly and double-check each step. Disconnect all USB and SATA drives except for keyboard, mouse, Mojave SSD, and USB install disk. You may keep the WiFi/BT card and AMD GPU installed.
Hey @CaseySJ, I am back. After weekdays of suffering.
I tried the fresh installation, and now all things function well (including BT, sounds, boot, sleep).

Still got 1 problem shutdown = restart? Can you help me with a look :D

Hi,
currently I'm using macOS Mojave updated to v. 10.14.5 (Clover v.4920) following this Guide and I would like to update to the latest version available (macOS 10.14.6 supplemental update).
Is any configuration update necessary (Clover, config.plist, kexts, SSDTs) before/after the macOS 10.14.6 update?
Is the 10.14.6 supplemental update process different in some way?
Thanks in advance for Your Help

Redid the USB header and reduced it to just the CPU cooler and BT, and it works now. I feel like I need another USB header.
Please see this in the Components section of the build guide. The 1-to-4 splitter is recommended over the 1-to-2 because it makes full use of both HS11 and HS12.

Please try the attached CLOVER folder:
  • Copy serial numbers back into SMBIOS.
  • This version disables all USB port limit patches in config.plist because we have USB SSDT.
  • This version deletes USBPorts.kext because we're using USBInjectAll.kext and the USB SSDT.
Finally, if this does not solve the problem, please post screenshot of BIOS --> Power.

When you configured your BIOS parameters, did you start by selecting Save & Exit --> Load Optimized Defaults?

It's not necessary to update Clover, kexts, SSDTs prior to the update from 10.14.5 to 10.14.6 Sup 2. Here are some general guidelines:

No problem — here’s a checklist:
  • Disable IGFX in BIOS.
  • Delete the entire section in “Clover Configurator —> Devices —> Properties” related to configuring the IGPU.
  • Everything in “Clover Configurator —> Graphics” should be unchecked or empty.
  • In SMBIOS, choose “iMacPro1,1”. You may be able to reuse existing serial numbers. If you use new numbers, your applications and plug-ins may need to be re-licensed.
  • Sign out of iCloud before rebooting.

Thanks Casey,

After some careful consideration, I decided against changing to the iMacPro1.1 SMBIOS. Things just work now, so I would rather not tamper with anything.

But do you - or anybody else - know how to disable the Intel iGPU temporarily as I'm trying to troubleshoot something in an app? Disabling the iGPU in bios without making other changes could screw up my system, right?

One can always create a new config.plist with a different name such as config-no-igpu.plist and save in the same CLOVER folder. In this new file, we can remove all IGPU settings such as those from Devices --> Properties or Graphics --> Inject Intel.

Then in BIOS, disable IGFX and at the Clover Boot Menu, select the Options icon and choose config-no-igpu.plist from the appropriate menu/sub-menu. It might even be sufficient to disable IGFX in BIOS without modifying config.plist, but I haven't tested this personally.

Thanks CaseySJ,

I tried the folder, but we don’t have the shutdown yet.

Attachment is my photo of BIOS —> Power.

I am pretty sure that I did select Load Optimized Defaults when I set this BIOS. I am thinking about ErP Enable, but with ErP my Ultrafine 5k 2017 won’t work :(.

Quick check: is there a file called nvram.plist in the root folder of the EFI partition on Mojave SSD?
