Hi! finally i mounted the PC, and followed the kpg instructions, but i get stucked with a black screen after installation boot. I can see al the lines of the installation mojave program, but when is supposed to reach the installation gui, it stucks on black.

Can it be due to the Radeon VII card?

Any recommendation?

It can be due to your's PCI-E SSD card.

I have the SSD NVMe direct to the mainboard.

After a while, the computer sleeps and the fans turn off, and, when I press a key, the fans turns on again. So I guess the installer is ready to start, but I can't see it. :(

Ok! I solved it! I copied Lilu and WhateverGreen to kexts, and now it boots! :)

Just ordered an ASUS Prime X299-Deluxe II and the i9-9940X. I'm collecting the "fixin's", and I'll post as I build. Since the rest of my current build is "thermally compatible, etc.", I'm not anticipating a lot of problems between @kgp's knowledge and the continued thread here, etc. This rig will be used for Pro Tools and Vienna Ensemble Pro.

I've got a solid rig, but currently, the only way to stop the infamous transport-stopping Pro Tools 6101 error is to disable hyperthreading and just throw a lot of cores at the work to be done. So it'll be BIOS = 14 cores/14 threads for studio work and BIOS 14 cores/28 threads for everything else.

Back again with more "problems" with my build:

1.- I have graphical glitches when booting (is not a huge problem, but it makes me nervous)

2.- Can't select the screen resolucion in settings (Radeon VII Slot 1).

Is there any workaround to solve them?

What do you mean graphical glitches? As always upload a copy of your EFI, IOReg, and BIOS settings for support. ;)

Graphical Glitches like this (it is not my capture, but on mine appears more horizontal lines):

Also, I can't change screen resolution:

Here is the EFI (I don't know how to upload the file here):

Here is the IOreg:

And my BIOS settings are the same as the KPG post for Asus:

1.) /AI Tweaker/
a.) ASUS MultiCore Enhancement: Auto
b.) AVX Instruction Core Ratio Negative Offset: "3"
c.) AVX-512 Instruction Core Ratio Negative Offset: "2"
d.) CPU Core Ratio: Sync All Cores
e.) CPU SVID Support: Enabled
f.) DRAM Frequency: e.g. DDR4-3200MHz

2.) /Advanced/CPU Configuration/
a.) Hyper Threading [ALL]: Enabled
b.) MSR Lock Control:Disabled

3.) /Advanced/CPU Configuration/CPU Power Management Configuration/

When employing WS X299 Sage 10G BIOS firmware 0905 and enabling Above 4G Decoding in the respective BIOS settings as required, "First VGA 4G Decode" must be set to "Auto", as both Windows 10 and macOS can become irresponsive with different "First VGA 4G Decode" settings.
c.) Set your specific Boot Option Priorities

7.) /Boot/Boot Configuration

b.) Boot up NumLock State: Disabled
c.) Setup Mode: Advanced

8.) /Boot/Compatibility Support Module/

Probably i'll have a lot of wrong things with the .aml files because i don't know how to use them yet.

Also let you know how i populated the slots of my Asus X299 WS Sage 10g:

Slot 1: Radeon VII

Slot 5: BCM94331CD + PCIe BCM94360CD

Slot 7: Inateck PCIe USB 3.0 (The one you recommend me)

Thanks in advance!

What options do you have under scaled?

Also do you need AirportBrcmFixup, FakePCIID, FakePCIID or is the BCM94331CD not native? the BCM94360CD does not need these kexts. Also IntelMausiEthernet and SmallTree-211 aren't needed on the Sage/10G.

Things I changed:
Cleaned up kexts folder:
Removed: (AirportBrcmFixup.kext, FakePCIIDBroadcom, FakePCIID, Intel Mausei, SmallTree-211.
Added: X299USB (USB ports properly defined), SmallTree8259x (for 10g but it looks like you may have used the small tree installer. I keep it in my EFI folder), TSCAdjustReset, updated lilu kexts
Removed the Cavs-HDEF rename and enabled the rest of the Acpi patches in the config.plist

Attached a cleaned EFI with your Serial number removed (FYI i would remove yours from dropbox since it has that info)

First of all, many thanks for your help!

I changed your EFI folder by mine, and:

As you said, the WiFi/Bluetooth card is is still working without those kexts. (My PCIe card didn't worked for me on the Slot 6, and I was installing all I founded to make it work, then I moved it to Slot 5, and it worked. I didn't remove those kexts or didn't do any other test as it worked like that.)

For Ethernet I also fail installing the SmallTree-211. Didn't know there was two driver version. And finally I used the 8259 installer.

Now I still have the graphical "problem" when booting, but it seems less than before and still can't change the screen resolution.

Here is the new IOreg file. The EFI is yours, I just added my old serial number.
