[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Since the Supplemental Upgrade (2) my hack no longer sleeps at all. Was perfect before. Anyone else?
I’m not worried because soon Catalina will break everything. Maybe...
One of the supplemental updates was meant to fix sleep issues! How ironic...

Some suggestions:
  • Select Apple Menu --> Sleep.
  • The computer will begin the sleep process and may fail.
  • If it fails, open Terminal and type:
    • pmset -g log | tail -150 > ~/Documents/sleeplog.txt
  • This will create a log file in your Documents folder called sleeplog.txt
  • Please upload that file.

Thanks fo the suggestions!

I'm using Clover revision 5070. I changed the platform ID to 0300983E (0x3E980003 byte reversal due to data format) and I'm still experiencing problems with preview and quick look (My main GPU, which I use for my monitor output, is the 780 Ti and the 9900k IGPU is not used for a second monitor. My BIOS settings for chipset/internal graphics are set to Auto and my peripherals/initial display output is set to PCIe 1 Slot (780 Ti)):
IGFX must be set to Enabled in BIOS.

There are also a lot of frame buffers... I'm not sure if they're causing this issue. I'll include my conifg.plist just in case...
Those extra framebuffer entries are redundant and should be deleted.

By the way, according to your OS update guide,

Ensure that your USB SSDT is installed and your USB port limit patches in config.plist are Disabled.
* The Mojave 10.14.4 USB port limit patch is not compatible with 10.14.5.

I'm a bit nervous updating ;) can confirm this are the 2 things you mentioned? I attached a screen grab.

I'm on 10.14.5 now.

*** I'd like help please with a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Xtreme build ***
I am having trouble getting wifi to work.
I originally was trying to get it to work in a PCIe-1X slot and the machine would not boot correctly.
After the suggestion by @CaseySJ I switched the card to the bottom long slot, and the machine boots, and I have completed a 10.14.6 install
I realized that the wifi card does not show up.
I was using an MSI Vega 56 Air board on the top slot.
To simplify my setup, I've removed the Vega 56 card and am running with a USB-C-to-DisplayPort cable.
The only card in my computer is the Wifi/BT card.
I have tried it in all the long slots
I am running BIOS f8A (I have tried F6 and F7)
I have tried a BCM94360CS2 card (with a PCIe adapter) and a BCM94360CD card with a different PCIe adapter
The USB connector is connected to the F_USB1 internal port

For anyone else with this board (@RAPWare @SuDoDmz @augustopaulo @pippo369 @frickergg @jdapolo @ummario ) what port are you using for your wifi/BT board? What NVMe slot are you using? Did you have to do anything to get the wifi card to show up? On other Hackintoshes these wifi/BT cards have been plug-and-play.

Also, I noticed in the Bios, if I look at PCI peripherals, the wifi/BT card does not show up. The Vega 56 card did show up in the BIOS and my NVMe card in slot M2M shows up and is working fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try next?

One should always make a full bootable backup prior to an OS update. And then allow the OS to update itself.

Yes those guidelines are correct.

@mdog474,

Please run IORegistryExplorer and export the IOReg file from “File —> Save As...” and upload. Do this after installing the WiFi/BT card in the bottom long slot and connecting Bluetooth to F_USB1 as before.

And also post a screenshot of “System Information —> WiFi” and “System Information —> Bluetooth”.

Because this is a sleep/wake-related issue, perhaps it's worth reducing your DRAM speed to 2666MHz if you're using faster RAM. The procedure is described here.

I don't think it's sleep related because sleep is disabled. Also my memory is 2400MHZ.

Hi @CaseySJ I'd greatly appreciate any help.
I've attached the requested files.

Note 1: I removed the Intel CNVi WiFi/Bluetooth card just to make sure it was not causing some sort of conflict.
Note 2: Bluetooth is working, just no WiFi
