Hi,

Having almost finish my Mac Pro 3.1 case mod (take a look here if you're curious) I swiped my setup into today :
i7-6700k
Gigabyte GA-z170mx-Gaming 5
16Go DDR4 3200MHz
AMD R9 290

+ a ssd with windows on it and 2 hdds but I don't this the issue comes from here

Bios settings :
  • VT-d : Disabled
  • OS Type : Other OS
  • IO SerialPort : Disabled
  • XHCI Handoff : Enabled
  • Internal GPU : enabled
  • Initial video output : IGFX
It is my second Hackintosh and I thought that it wouldn't be difficult but I was wrong.
I first had some usb issues (usb 2...) that I solved but now the Clover reboot after 3min with the last line : Attempting System restart...
IMG_3654.PNG

I will upload the video later

My config.plist below
(I used a iMac 17.1 smbios)

Reading the logs I assume the problem occurs when the kexts are loaded but I'm not sure and I don't know the cause of the problem.
Few seconds before the restart this line at the bottom also bothers me :

A SMBIOS issue ?

Thanks in advance for your help :beachball:

A SMBIOS issue ?

Thanks in advance for your help :beachball:
  • Your SPECS include AMD Radeon R9 290 .
    • Is that 290X or just 290?
    • What is its Make (Brand Name)?
    • Radeon R9 290 has been reported by some to give a black screen problem in Mojave
  • Your BIOS selection is to use the Intel HD Graphics 530.
    • What DVMT Pre-Allocated Memory is being used? it's not listed in your post.
    • config.plist_Graphics SECTION has NO [√]InjectIntel to get your chosen IGFX to load!
  • config.plist without the full CLOVER as zipped file is pretty much useless to diagnose problems.
    • config.plist can be considered as a cheat sheet that depends on what the CLOVER sub-folders: drivers64UEFI and kexts/Other hold for config.plist to upload from time to time during boot to help the process to continue with the help of BIOS options to reach its target screen _Disk Utility to start Partition and format and then macOSMojave installation on the target hard disk.
  • For tips:https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ave-installation-and-posting-for-help.276352/

I have the same issue, solved it by downgrading lilu to 1.2.8

Thanks for your help !
I solved the problem by checking inject intel. I may have uncheck it for tests but forgot it then.
Sorry for opening a thread for a such thing

  • Congratulations:clap:
  • Don't feel sorry at all for starting the thread. Through your initial and final post you have actually contributed to the knowledge base for seemingly obscure causes of macOSMojave boot failure.

  • My only comment for the benefit of readers of this post is to encourage everyone asking for help to upload 3 things if there is boot failure:
  1. Always boot in Verbose mode until full installation is successfully completed on the hard disk and upload to the Forum Verbose boot screen (s) image)s) or other screen shots where you find a boot pause|freeze|failure
  2. To help explain and suggest troubleshoot for the observed verbose boot screen problem, upload EFI or CLOVER from booting disk as a compressed file [ #4] rather than just the config.plist where a lot of things have to be assumed .
  3. upload BIOS options chosen for the boot including those associated with USB Controllers and Graphics Controllers preferably as BIOS Screen shots [ #33]
