As above, as soon as I launch app store, with in a second the mouse stops moving and MacOS is frozen. I've downloaded the combo update to 10.14.5 hoping that it fixes the issue, but it doesn't. What information do you all need to start troubleshooting this issue?

Cheers

Any ideas apart from reinstall the OS?

No, within 3 seconds of starting the App Store the PC hangs.

system.log has the following:
Sep 22 12:10:13 Simons-iMac appstoreagent[592]: objc[592]: Class ASDPurchaseResult is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppStoreDaemon.framework/Versions/A/AppStoreDaemon (0x7fff996d7be8) and /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppStoreDaemon.framework/Support/appstoreagent (0x10d3d1d40). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Is that normal?

Simons-iMac:~ simonvoigt$ spindump -i /Library/logs/DiagnosticReports/shutdown_stall_2019-09-22-124009_Simons-iMac.shutdownStall

Spindump analysis written to file /tmp/spindump.txt (attached)

Is there anything useful in that?

If it helps I have a 2010 Mac Mini server that is now running High Sierra. Is there any file I can copy from that to the Hackintosh that would enable app store to not crash the machine?

Help me Obiwan Kenobi! You are our only hope!

Never mind, deleted the apfs volumes (from the terminal because disk utility gui is still not full featured yet with APFS stuff) and started again, installed High Sierra from USB, then updated to Mojave and so far the app store is behaving.
