Hi guys,

Just back to this build but with revised updated part. I chose z390 for bluetooth and wifi onboard support. So I have a few questions before getting started:
- Wifi and bluetooth would work, anything to notice/post installation config? Or this is just a waste?
- For budgeting am just thinking to use SSD Evo 970 SATA instead, for larger storage, would there be a problem? Or can I insert HDD/SSD later after finishing installation?
- Installation: the guide on first page on this topic still valid? Anything new?

Thanks a lot guys, this is going to be my very first one after reading - skipped - come back reading - ready - skipped.... and now I'm purchasing it... pretty excited and worry :D.
My goal is photo editing, a bit of Adobe premiere and some gaming.
Thanks for reading

Hi guys,
Just back to this build but with revised updated part.

With a different mainboard (not even the same chipset!) this not a revised but simply a different build. You cannot expect the information given in this thread to apply to your build.

It will not work. You can add a compatible WiFi USB dongle or PCIe card (i.e. based on Broadcom BCM94360).

- For budgeting am just thinking to use SSD Evo 970 SATA instead, for larger storage, would there be a problem? Or can I insert HDD/SSD later after finishing installation?

Samsung 970 are NVMe/PCIe M.2 SSDs, not SATA. If you want SATA, they are called 860. I would recommend an NVMe SSD as system volume though, they are awesome.

- Installation: the guide on first page on this topic still valid? Anything new?

Again, it does not apply to your build.

I would take 370 board with 9th gen processor.
Would take RX580 instead of RX 590.
32GB Ram
Wouldn't bother with Liquid cooler, would install Black Rock 4.

THanks guys. The reason for the mainboard is because z370 is not available on stock. I have only 2 options for Z370 now: Gigabyte Z370M-D3H - Socket 1151v2 or Gigabyte Z370N Wifi. But Z370 only supports 8th gen processor....
I'm kinda struggling with parts to buy now to match the build

370 bards support 9th gen Cpus with bios update
Gigabyte Z370M-D3H bios f10 - look at attached pic

You could get some z390 boards to work, research this forum, but there are more problems with them compared to the older and tested 370 ones

Thanks. I managed to find these:
  1. Gigabyte Z370M-D3H - Socket 1151v2
  2. Asus Prime Z370-P- Socket 1151v2
Which one should I pick?
And for Wifi+bluetooth I might be able to get this: Card Wifi Apple Chipset Broadcom BCM94331CD + Bluetooth 4.0 : PCI Express X 1. Seller said only compatible till 10.13 but I think it should work on Mojave as well?

Both are supported. Gigabayte board is smaller, so you can put it in a smaller case if u want that.
If you'll be buying 9th gen cpu (9700k or 9900k) make sure that the board is shipped with the latest bios, otherwise buy the 8700k.

If you dig around you can still find many z370 boards that have good guides in the Golden Builds section, including the z370 Aorus Gaming 7 and the Rog Strix z370 Gaming (to name to popular choices). Check Amazon, for example.
