Lenovo Thinkpad E570 - Post Installation Help

Sorry for reviving an old post, but any chance you could provide instructions on how you got a successful install on the E570 in the first place?

I tried this guide here;
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/

and changed BIOS to proper settings (or so I think) but when I try to boot from the USB, it just takes me back to the boot list. Basically, nothing happens and I'm not sure why. Relatively newb to this as my relevant experience mainly involves dual-booting Linux and running Mac OS in VMWare.

in general i did what rehabman wrote in his last post. the key to success is reading, reading, reading, failing, again reading, reading, reading and finally suceed :)

it´s not that hard. in my case i left the nvme ssd with windows on it alone and installed on a seperate disk. you can get it to work close to perfect, except the wifi problem, which i solved with a tiny wifi usb stick. its by far not the best solution, but with all this whitelist stuff from lenovo it seems to be the only chance to get wifi working.

i may post a guide for this laptop when i find the time, but dont expect it too soonish ;)

good luck!

Thanks for the response, I actually got it to install recently as well. For me, it was an Aptio 64 memory efi that I needed and to create the install media from a real Mac (did it on my VM before). Now, I'm where you were at with WiFi not working and spotty trackpad (still works, but it's weird). Have you run into any other issues?

have you already installed acpibatterymanager and a patch for working battery status (patch for lenovo t440p works fine for e570) ? after i did that, the trackpad was working nicely.

beneath that, no more issues. except facetime, imessage and stuff which i dont use and therefore didnt test :)

for wifi, i can confirm that both tp link TL-wn725n and tp link tl-wn823n are working!

Thanks for reply. I actually am trying to work through this and not sure how to do it. I'm reading up on the threads and I think since I'm new to Hackintosh at this level, I'm not even sure I'm doing anything right. Haven't been able to install Clover boot to my SSD yet so I've had to rely on the USB stick still T_T

Thanks RehabMan. Got to boot from SSD, trackpad, and battery status working after I re-installed again (I really messed something up during post-install trying to get audio to work and it stopped booting and didn't want to figure out what caused it). Prior to that, I also got brightness controls through system panel working.

At this point, I'm on to trying to get fully functioning graphics, i.e. getting my 2nd monitor to be detected via the HDMI port on my laptop. It's Kaby Lake Intel 620 with a dedicated GTX 950M, so I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm guessing it has something to do with Skylake PCI-ID spoofing as mentioned in the FAQ? Not too sure, but will be testing it out.

Check in Windows to be certain of which graphics devices the HDMI port is connected to.

I've checked and fortunately the 2nd display is also registering with my Intel HD 620. I'm guessing this means I'm likely to get that 2nd monitor working once I get through the graphics Laptop FAQs?

Refer to guide plists for potential patches that may enable the connector for your HDMI:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

(Hint: Look in config.plist/Devices/Properties/PciRoot(0)/Pci(2,0))

Awesome, thanks for all your help RehabMan. I think what I needed was to make sure my Inject Intel was on and disabled for NVIDIA/AMD. I was messing around with a bunch of the settings and it ended up working; so I can't say for sure what happened.

Now:
- I think the next steps are to make sure my system is running the best it can; so I should install HWMonitor and/or benchmarking tools specific for Hacktintoshes to make sure temperatures are right and p-states are proper, etc.?
