Hey man,
Really enjoyed looking through your Powermac case mod :)
I'm working on my first mod and was hoping you could give me some advice. I bought an H90 water cooler from Corsair. It's a single fan, self-contained cooler. I noticed you say you put an H60 in yours, but your tubing is way longer.

Question: is your H60 this with just custom tubing? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181030

If so, that would mean you replaced the tubes with longer ones and then somehow bled the air out? Any advice on that?

Thanks so much! :)

Best,

Joel

Been super busy IRL work, bleh,

But basicailly its pretty easy to mod a H60 , 90, etc.

Most of them are 1/4" ID tubing, i used tycoon <-- tygon but any 1/4 ID tubing will work.

i got about 10 feet just to make sure i had enough and in case i had to recut something.

bleeding the air is pretty easy also, look on you tube for ideas , but here is the concept.

use a bottle or a big bowl or pan.

Start by priming your cooling system by pouring coolest water mix in as much as possible, u may be able to use a syringe for turkeys or a funnel type device.

once system is primed
1.place the suction at the bottom of the bottle , bowl, or pan
2. place the outlet about 1/2" or 1" below surface of cooling fluid away from the suction.

make sure plenty of coolant is available and keep the outlet under the water level run for about 24 hours, that should get 99.9% of all the air out

Hey dude,

No apology necessary! See how long it took me to reply :p

Thanks man for the guidance. In the end I bought a reservoir for my loop. I decided I'm going to want flush out the line periodically.

I moved my build over to OC.net, you can take a look here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1535600/g3-blue-white-case-mod

A lot of inspiration came from your G3 - thanks so much! :)

Best,

Joel
