Asking for Help, need to solve a snow leopard 10.6.8 trouble

My old white mac book can't hold the project I'am currently working on Logic so I need more cpu power as well as a faster HD . Installed snow leopard following tonymac instruction on a meccanic hd (original toshiba 250 gb 5600 rpm) taken from an old macbook ,everything went very smoothly then I made an image and copied to an ssd drevo 120 gb...well I noticed one strange thing, the system is turning on very quickly but It took lot of time I mean also 7-10 minutes to start working properly ...once the desktop is loaded the mouse pointer is blocked cannot open any app (program) then 7-10 minutes after it starts working ...what the hell means ,What could have possibly gone wrong? It can could be the video card? many many thanks in advance

nVidia 7xxx series opus lost support in 10.6.3. Try updating the 7600 gs to an 8800 gs or one of the 9500/9800 series GPUs..
