High Sierra is now installed on my Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Gaming 7, but I had to do extensive troubleshooting before discovering that the Optane Memory unit prevented the High Sierra installer from booting correctly. After removing the unit, I was able to boot and install High Sierra 10.13.4.

Does anyone know if there is planned Optane Memory support in the future, or if this is basically a Windows exclusive for the forseeable future?

Anyone know if the situation has improved somehow? I want to dual boot my significant other's CAD machine so she can get a taste of the OS X life and use Final Cut for some projects. But the main 6TB storage drive is accelerated using a 32GB Optane M.2 module and I don't want to sacrifice that.

I had to extract the 32gb optane memory of my aorus z370 ultra gaming 2.0 :(:(:( I couldn't start the macOS installation with the optane memory in my MB :(

I wanted to have windows in my 2TB hard drive with the optane, and macOS in my M.2 NVME 500GB.

Life is hard :(

I've just been buy a gigabyte aorus Z370 ultra gaming 2.0 OP and i cant install high sierra !
In bios, I have no access to other OS on the boot mode (only WINDOWS 8/10).
How can you install hack on you motherboard (ver 1.0 instead of 2.0)
Thank's for you answser.

Dams - I cannot answer your question. I do not know the answer. You have a different motherboard, (yours is Z370X, mine is Z270X), and I am unfamiliar with the problem you are stating. Also, this message thread is addressing a different topic, so it is not appropriate to ask here.

Please try starting your own thread in the High Sierra forum instead - you may get better results!
