Intel DZ68BC

GTX 680
Hello,

So I have a fairly old desktop. I am curious if it is compatible.

MOBO: Intel DZ68BC
CPU: Intel i7-2700K
RAM: 16GB DIMM DDR3 1333MHz
HD: Samsung SSD 840 250GB
GPU: EVGA GTX 680

As I said this is fairly old hardware. So I guess even if it is compatible it probably wouldn't run the newest macOS. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

should be ok for Sierra and High Sierra

Okay well I will give it a shot then. Going to be my first time to Hackintosh. Hope if I fail I can go back to Linux and don't permanently damage anything.

unless you drop something very heavy on it, you should be fine

Hmm not sure if it is an issue with the USB created with UniBeast or if my board isn't compatible, but I keep getting "Reboot and select proper boot device" when trying to boot from the USB. I know my computer can boot from there because I have installed many different OSes this way before. Not sure what the issue could be.

you may need to recreate your unibeast in legacy mode if your motherboard doesn't support uefi

Thank you! I think mine does support it and I had it turned on, but wasn't working. Recreated with Legacy mode and it works now. However, I need to figure out why my mouse and keyboard do not work once I get to the High Sierra install screen. The keyboard worked on the Clover screen, but not once I get to the install screen. So going to do some research on that.

May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
May need PMHeart’s patch to remove XHCI USB Port Limit to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist.

The problem may also occur when your USB controllers are unsupported, if this is the case you should add the appropriate kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ or try GenericUSBXHCI.kext.
