Dell Inspiron 13-7352

Intel Core i7-5500U Processor
8GB Single Channel DDR3L 1600MHz
Intel HD Graphics 5500

I had tried my hand at a hackintosh in this past on this machine and had previously had no luck, but I really wanted to give it a go again. I started by prepping a High Sierra bootable USB using the guide on tonymacx86 via UniBeast. Then, after playing around with the Intel injection and ig-platform-id, I was able to actually install the os, but ran into trouble again when I needed to reboot, but was able to finally get into the desktop environment. After installing a few kexts that I thought I needed in order to get some features back, I found myself having difficulty booting. I'm not sure if using Kext Utility was the way to go or using the S/L/E or L/E methods or putting it right into the EFI partition would have been better. Long story short, I want to attempt a reinstall, and I'm just hoping that someone who has similar experience with Dell Inspiron laptops can lend me some advice with getting this up and running. There is a guy who has several youtube videos that go over him installing High Sierra on this exact machine, but it seems to skip over a lot and the certain parts would come later.

I appreciate any and all help.

So i did a fresh install and ive been able to get everything running and booting constantly. My computer still shows my graphics card as Intel HD 5500 7MB. I tried patching the frame buffer using the linked guide

Comment: 0x16260006/etc, 32MB BIOS, 19MB framebuffer, 9MB cursor bytes (credit RehabMan)
Name: AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer
Find: 01030303 00002002 00005001
Replace: 01030303 00003001 00009000

when i boot using an invalid id i get a kernel panic.

I also tried using 5300_5500_6000config file, but when i boot it it does show any drives.

I know i must be doing something i just cant seem to pinpoint it.

I should've attached my config file in the previous response, i apologize i'm still new to this.

You have FakeID/IntelGFX=0x12345678.

No expectation of working graphics when using an invalid FakeID.
Refer to guide:

I apologize this must've been the one from when i was trying to patch. The typical FakeID i have been using was 0x16260006 which should be for broadwell, but that doesn't yield anything for the amount of vram shown. Should i be doing the changing of the FakeID from within my EFI partition or should it be from an external boot key? What i was doing was adding the patch then attempting to booting using the FakeID=0x12345678 and once i was in i would run Kext Utility (I've been operating under th assumption that running this rebuilds what it needs to). I would then change the config in my EFI partition to reflect the correct ID 0x16260006. Do i need any Kexts installed that i'm missing or it my DVMT not patching?

FakeID/IntelGFX=0x16260006 is also invalid.
You do not need to use FakeID/IntelGFX with your hardware.

So i still use the patch method that mentioned in my previous post, but i need to remove as FakeID? Will Lilu and the DVMTFixup Kexts work for me instead then?
