Hey all,
new to the hackintosh scene, trying to get audio devices to show up in system preferences for about a day now, no luck so far :(
Help much appreciated!

Problem Reporting:

1. In system preferences/sound, no input or output devices are displayed.
2. High Sierra 10.13.4 / ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming / Bios Revision 0614 / i7 8700k / no graphics card, internal graphics
3. Post #1 of this Thread (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/no-audio-devices-applehda-realtek-audio.234729/), then following to "Before You Install Audio - Desktop/Realtek/AppleHDA [Guide]" (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/before-you-install-audio-desktop-realtek-applehda-guide.219810/), there I am stuck at point "7. IOReg/CodecDevice", the CodecDevice is not found...

To get native AppleHDA.kext, I did't try the given guide (https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALC_guides/blob/master/Restore native AppleHDA [Guide].pdf), but instead copied the AppleHDA.kext from my older Macbook Pro (13", end of 2013). This should also be fine, right?

Thanks a lot!

Duplicate AppleHDAController patches
Remove config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 7 (10.12-Kaby_Audio_Controller)
Restart, reply with new files

Thank you for helping me.

Has macOS audio worked with previous releases?

Yes.

I built this hackintosh machine (GA-Z270-HD3, i7-7700, GTX 1050) on Dec. 2017. Everything (video/audio) worked fine except clover booted slowly.
It took about 2 minutes to boot into clover, then about 1 minute to show the white apple logo.

So about 3 days ago, I decided to reinstall everything from beginning.
I did the following things:

It is very interesting that I am building another hackintosh.
It is a GA-Z370-HD3, i5-8400, GTX 1050 machine.
And it has exactly the same problem as the GA-Z270-HD3 machine.

I will post the files of the Z370 machine lately today.

My mistake, remove config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/200 Series/X299 patch
Run MultiBeast/ALC892
Restart, reply with new files

Line removed from config.plist
Multibeast/ALC892 installed, rebooted
Files updated and attached

Hey, same problem I currently have, also have an Z370, mine is ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming to be precise...

These are the error reports on the Z370 machine.

2. High Sierra/Gigabyte Z230 HD3/I5 8400/16GB/GTX 1050/ALC892

What is your mainboard exactly? This looks like a Copy&Paste error...

Otherwise, just had a short look at your report files... I'm no expert by any means, but based on the answer from toleda to my post, it seems like you didn't do step 6.3.2 "Z370/200/X299 Series motherboards" https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...lake-audio-onboard-and-or-hd-6x0-hdmi.221618/, otherwise you should have an entry "200_Series_x299_Audio_Controller" under config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch
