Enable XMP in the BIOS if you have the option for it if not enable XMP to Yes in config. Verify that RAM is being seen in OS X/macOS make sure that SMBIOS Trust is set to True not False.
Hi, I have a similar problem, after direct updating from El Capitan to High Sierra, Photos crashed twice so far (not always) and then reboot automatically, my system configuraton is set to iMac 14,2 and on my config file is:
<key>XMPDetection</key>
<string>NO</string>

Should I set this to yes? thank you!

What RAM are you currently using? If you have XMP enabled in BIOS then you do have to set XMPDetection to Yes.
