I am using onboard graphics now, used the EFI link in your blog, mounted the instal usb and dropped the EFI onto the drive. Instal gets 3/4 through then just restarts and will try and instal again unless I stop it... only thing in MB that I could not find is the OS option... maybe that is the last problem I am having? Other than that I have followed every guide regarding creating the boot drive and bios settings to T. Where in the Bios is the OS option?

Thank you again!
Cheers.
Did you take out your GPU from the board?

And replace the config file from this attached file.

I did not physically remove the 1080. I am pretty sure I did update the config but will pull the one you just attached to make sure

Doest the card need to be completely removed if I set "Initial Display Output" to IGFX and Internal Graphics is Enabled?

Again... Thank you!

Ok.. now after formatting drive and running install, machine restarted and I chose the new drive to finish the install. Once the High Sierra splash screen loaded and began to install it stopped and stated " An error occurred while updating firmware. Quit the installer and restart your computer and try again... any advice on this one? :shifty:

Yeah this is a very typical issue in HS installation.

You know the fastest way to fix it is removing the all HDDs even m.2 if you have one from the board. Only allowed is one HDD or SSD that is using for macOS installation. After installation complete, you can put all HDDs back.

So, did you format the m.2 before the installation? by APFS?

And do you install 10.13.3 or 10.13.2?
