Cant add new storage drive?

So I have had a working hackintosh for years now running Snow Leopard, it qas time to replace my system drive as it was failing...
Managed a super duper copy and replaced with a new drive, at first it wouldn't boot but managed to get it rolling fine with a USB stick as the chameleon boot drive... All good, so I thought...
Tried to add my storage drives back, will not boot, stuck at cant find mach kernel...
Anyone have any ideas?
It all runs fine without xtra drives..

Please update your motherboard, CPU and graphics card information in your Personal Details as stipulated by the rules of this forum.

I would guess that when you added back your other storage drives, the boot order in the BIOS was changed so that the system thought it wanted to boot from one of other drives, and that may cause your boot fail.

I suggest that after you add back your other drives (better be sure that the boot drive is connected to the first SATA port if possible), go into the motherboard BIOS, and then
(1) make sure all the drives are detected in the BIOS, then
(2) set the drive containing the Snow Leopard system as the first boot drive.

Thanks for the reply, I am booting from a USB stick with just the boot info on it, that is first in the boot order in BIOS. Snow Leopard drive is in the first SATA port.
The issue was that after cloning my original, it would not boot even after using multibeast to install the boot info, so I copied the boot info via multibeast to a USB stick and now it boots, Snow Leopard comes up from my clone but cant add any other drives...
