Hi,

I've been running my Hackintosh for 4 months and I'm very happy with it. Recently I had to purchase a webcam and an external USB sound card. Both works pretty damn well out of the box, the drivers worked pretty well and no kexts were required at all.

Also found 2 externals usb mini sound cards that work without any drivers.

I couldn't find the place in the forum to post my list.
Where is it?

Cheers

Since I'm quite new to forum, I assumed that it would be disregarded as spam/noob without rep.

Let me post the list:

USB sound cards

1. Konig

2. (Don't Buy because of the headset, read below) Trust Cinto
Link: https://www.trust.com/en/product/14411-cinto-headset

3. (Recommended) Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1

Notes on the sound cards:
The Konig works very well, just plug it and wait 1 minute. The sound quality is pretty decent, didn't noticed a difference between my MSI Gaming motherboard with Audio Boost. The Trust Cinto is a shitty cheap headset that comes with an extra cable to split the audio and microphone into 2 jacks and an external USB that I wasn't counting to find inside the package.

I was trying to buy a split cable but I couldn't find it nearby so I spent 10 euros ( 12 USD ) on the headset just to get the cable. The quality of the headset is not great, I wouldn't recommend it to calls since you're only 20 to 30 dollars away from really good headsets. The split cable ended up being bad since I could hear so white noise. The USB card that came with the Headset works pretty well, plug it, wait 1 minute and it's on. Depending on your location, the Konig card is cheaper. In my country this headset is cheaper than the Konig so that is why I'm listing it.

The Sound Blaster Omni is best option. I installed the official drivers and everything works well after rebooting. This sound card already includes dual microphone, a high quality jack split cable, a remote control and a surround left and right union cable. The sound quality is amazing, the oficial software works on mac and it is my recommendation.

The external cards might save you from a lot of trouble. I thought the sound card on my motherboard was working until the day I plug a microphone in. I found out that VoodooHDA was recognising an external port as a microphone port. From now I'll build my Hackintosh with an external plug and play sound card. If I manage to get the motherboard sound card to work, perfect but having an external card is a safe guard for Hackintosh.

WebCam:
1. (Recommend) Logitech C930E
Link: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/c930e-webcam

This is considered a high end webcam and it was really easy to setup. You can install 2 official application: One basic application to choose some options like refresh rate, widescreen, color balance, etc. Then you also have Logitech Gaming software that gives you more options. Never had an issue with it, works well and I'm able to do Facetime calls. One thing that I noticed is that although this is a 1080p camera, better than most iPhones and macs, the call receiver doesn't notices a better image. It does make a difference on Skype, so some downscaling/something else might occur when using Facetime.

This webcam also comes with dual microphones that work without any effort/configuration.

Let me know if you need more details to add this to the list.
