[Solved] Samsung EVO Not Showing in Disk Utility

Hi everyone! I am at the point where I’m trying to install High Sierra, but my SSD is not showing up in Disk Utility. I’ve search the forum and tried a few things others did, but I feel like a new set of eyes on the problem might help. I’m not that familiar with the gigabyte bios on my motherboard, but I think I’ve sent everything correctly. Here are some pictures of my configuration. Help! I haven’t quite figured out posting pictures.

This is a known bug in the version of Disk Utility that comes in the Install app.

You need to format the drive in another OS or use the Terminal command line tool "diskutil"

Can you point me to how to user Terminal from the boot USB volume? (If I'm understanding you correctly.) I don't own a SATA to USB adapter, so formatting from the Hackintosh would be ideal.

RESOLVED: I was able to use terminal to format the drive. Installation proceeding! Thanks for the quick help.
