Hi Everyone! This community is great! I just installed OS X El Capitan in my MSI GS60 Laptop following the guide and using clover.

So far, I've been able to get partial GPU support by installing the HD 4600 Kext from Rehabman. My screen is kind of dark and I wanted to apply the SSDT patch to get the brightness slider working.

I ran ubuntu live linux to get all the aml files. Ran the iasl command to dissasemble them. I ended up with 11 SSDT sdl files and 1 DSDT sdl file.

I'm a bit lost here on what is that I need to do next. The file SSDT6.aml has a reference to the "0x00020000" address. When I try to compile it I get a bunch of errors. I'm unsure if I followed the procedures correctly.

I also ran the ssdtPRGen.sh script to get native power management available. I checked the IORegistryExplorer app and X86PlatformPlugin appears to be listed under the CPU0 section. I haven't been able to compile the AppleIntelInfo.kext just yet.

As a sidenote, I haven't noticed any freezes, but sometimes chrome or xcode act kind of sluggish. Chrome shows "Awww Snap" screens when I try to open a new tab.

Well, looks like I'm getting there! Any help will be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hi Rehabman!

Yes, those are the guides I've been trying to follow.

I've ran the iasl command, including refs.txt to decrease the number of errors.

I'm unsure if I'm solving this issues well, specially with the ones that report things like this:

unexpected PARSEOP_INTEGER

I'm attaching all my DSDT/SSDT aml and dsl files, maybe you can hint me in the right direction here.

I do software development myself, so changing variable names, applying patches and making sure the .dsl files compile shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks!

Extract with Clover F4 as per guide.

Extracting with clover and applying the patch to the appropriate ssdt worked!

I'll patch the rest of the stuff to get this computer fully functional. Thanks Rehabman!!

On a sidenote, I'm getting a bunch of errors from Chrome. The system logs report something like this:

12/31/16 3:49:29.000 PM kernel[0]: Google Chrome He[373] triggered unnest of range 0x7fff9b400000->0x7fff9b600000 of DYLD shared region in VM map 0x9f48e9df87743989. While not abnormal for debuggers, this increases system memory footprint until the target exits.

However, I ran a Rember memory test and everything looks alright, any ideas?
