[GUIDE] Sierra on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Yes, I've upgraded smoothly and besides the random restarts I was getting in Sierra (I still got two on HS in 3 days).

Other than that, everything looks to work fine.

I did what was in this post :
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/update-directly-to-macos-high-sierra.232707/#post-1588403

This has not worked for me, either installing to my SSD or HDD. All it get is the screen with the progress bar with the spinning shutdown indicator over the top.

Maybe it's because I already have a kext for M2.nvme SSDs? Without the kext you can't boot from the nvme SSD.
I've tried removing this, same result.

Please could some one share the kexts they have for clover, maybe another set might work.

Next try will to be clone my Sierra install to a USB HDD, and boot to this only adding kexts to be able to boot directly to it.

Any other ideas?

Had you deleted emuvariable to get succeful updated High sierra?

Should this variable be deleted? Where do I find it?

Thanks

Would you mind posting your config.plist, or maybe a zipped copy of you EFI folder

Thanks

Here you go. You will have to generate your own serial number. I've replaced that with a string of X-es.

Hi, I've been using Sierra since the beginning and everything worked fine.
Now I'm gonna do a fresh install of High Sierra on my new M.2 960 pro.
I can see no one has written a guide for our motherboard yet.
If anyone succeeds please do it.
If I manage to make it work, I'll do it but I'm still a newbie XD
Bye guys.

I tried, but it got stuck during the install.

I'm waiting until Unibeast V8 is released to try again.

Anyone installed High Sierra on a 960 Pro?
If yes, what reading performance do you have?
Did you use only native driver or something else?
Thanks : )

Did you get high sierra to install at all??
